We ALL need to be careful! • a. Romans 12:2 - And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind • b. 1 Co 15:33 - Do not be deceived: "Evil company corrupts good habits."

Most of all, young people need to beware & be careful of these great evils!

  5. INTRODUCTION… • 4. One of the most popular and useful verses to young people is stated by Solomon… • Ecclesiastes 12:1 • Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, Before the difficult days come, And the years draw near when you say, "I have no pleasure in them":

Why is it so important those in their Youth to remember God? • a. Review commands for: Spiritual Purity in Youth • b. Answer the question: Why Remember God in our Youth? • b. Practical Applications that Young People should consider!

  7. I. Remember God While you are Young • A. Commanded • 1. 1 Tim 5:22 – “… keep yourself pure.” • 2. 1 Tim 4:12 - Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Examples • 1. Joseph– a young man of tremendous character! – Acts 7:9-16 • 2. Timothy- a young man who taught the Gospel – NT! • 3. David - a young man was after God’s own heart – Heb 11:32 • 4. Samuel - a young man who became a Prophet – Heb 11:32

Your Friends can Ruin You! - Pr 1:7-19 • 2. 1 Cor 15:33 – “Do not be deceived: "Evil company corrupts good habits.” • 3. Pr 12:26 - “The righteous should choose his friends carefully, For the way of the wicked leads them astray.”

Your Friends can Ruin You! - Pr 1:7-19 • 2. 1 Cor 15:33 – “Do not be deceived: "Evil company corrupts good habits.” • 3. Pr 12:26 - “The righteous should choose his friends carefully, For the way of the wicked leads them astray.” • B. Selecting the Wrong Girlfriend/Boyfriend • 1. Sexual Immorality destroys many…boy, girl & child!! • 2. 2 Timothy 2:22 – “Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.” • 3. 1 Tim 4:12-5:2: vs.12: Purity!!, 5:2: Purity!!

Titus 2:6 – “exhort the young men to be sober-minded, in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works;” • D. Selecting the Wrong Spouse • 1. The Wrong Spouse can cause you Great Suffering! • 2. Solomon, Sampson, Hosea, Ahab….Numerous Examples!! • 3. Will this Person help me Serve God & get to Heaven?? • 4. Qualifications…Her: Prov 31; Him: 1 Tim 3:1-7

Is this Job good for: Serving God, a Family, Holiness • 3. Men, you have Responsibilities to your Family • Eph 5:22-6:4, 1 Peter 3:7, 1 Tim 5:8, Titus 2:1-11 • 4. Women, you have responsibilities to your Family • Eph 5:22-6:4, 1 Peter 3:1, Titus 2:1-11

And…the Remainder of your life, and even Eternity, is often based on these youthful decisions! • REMAIN GODLY… “keep yourself pure”! 1 Tim 5:22 • Make Godly Decisions: • In your friends & Boy/Girl Friends • In your Behavior • In your Choice of Career and Spouse! • 3. Remember the words of David…Ps 34:11-16
