  2. PEYTON MANNING BORN: March 24, 1976 PLACE OF BIRTH: NEW ORLEANS, LA HEIGHT: 6ft, 5 in. WEIGHT: 230 lb. ---------------------------------- Peyton Manning is an American football quarterback for the Indianapolis colts, and is widely regarded as one of the best quarterbacks of all time, and has the record for the most nflmvp awards with four.

  3. HIGH SCHOOL CAREER Manning attended Isidore Newman School in New Orleans, Louisiana. He led his team to a 34-5 record during three seasons as a starter. He was named the Gatorade Circle of Champions National Player-of-the-year and Columbus(Ohio) Touchdown Club National Offensive Player-of-the-Year in 1993.

  4. CHARITABLE WORKS Shortly after beginning his NFL career, Manning started his own charity, the Peyback Foundation. Their mission is to help disadvantaged kids, and focuses its efforts in Louisiana, Tennessee, and Indiana. Manning and his brother Eli, volunteered their assistance in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. On September, 2007, St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis reamed its children’s hospital to “Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent.”

  5. Some may ask why Peyton chose football? It could be because he was raised as a football fan. His dad was the QB of the New Orleans Saints, and he has always been around football, and has grown to love it.
