  2. Monday 2/24Bell Work 1 • Write the following : • Be sure to PLAN, write, and revise. • Read articles/Plan – 40-45 minutes            • Write - 40-45 minutes • Revise – 15-20 minutes t saying a word to me or anyone else,

  3. Monday 2/24Bell Work 2 Write the following word for word. • The writing test is an untimed test, so take all the time you need. • You may make notes, circle, and underline ideas within the articles. • Remember to read the prompt very carefully and answer the question that is being asked.

  4. Tuesday 2/25/14Bell Work 1 • Don’t forget to check for everything on your Writer’s Checklist which is essentially: Ideas, Organization, Word Choice, Sentences and Paragraphs, and Grammar/Usage/Mechanics! • You must write a minimum of 90 minutes to receive a soda, so if you follow even the minimum suggested time you will definitely get it! • You can do this!

  5. Tuesday 2/25Bell Work 2 Narrative- A story real or imagined about a particular subject. Informative/Expository- Informing your audience about a particular subject. Persuasive- Persuading your audience to agree with your claim or argument.

  6. Wednesday 2/26Bell Work 1 Free Write. There is no limitation on subject as long as it is appropriate. Write to me as your audience in at least three sentences. If you are stumped, consider the following: WHY? HOW?

  7. Thursday 2/27Bell Work 1 • February is “National Dental Health Month.”  • Create a list of ten (10) things that you can do to help keep your teeth and mouth healthy. • Then write a thesis statement for an argumentative paper that would convince someone to take care of his/her teeth.

  8. Thursday 2/27Bell Work 2 • February 27 - Theme: National Strawberry DayWhat is your favorite fruit? What do you like about it? If you do not like any fruit, explain why not.

  9. Friday 2/28Bell Work 1 • Read in your own library book. Make two dialectical journal entries.

  10. Friday 2/28Bell Work 2 • February 29 is Leap Day • Many people are born each day. This included Leap Day. If you were born on Leap Day and your birthday only occurred every four years, how would you celebrate on the other years? Would you officially be 8 even if you had lived 32 years?
