  10. Creating a Charity • Imagine you are a rich business person who has just retired. You have several million dollars that you would like to use to set up a charity. In groups of two or three please describe the charity you would like to create. - What is the purpose of the charity? - Where will the charity be based? - Who will be needed to run the charity? - Aside from your several million, how will it continue to be funded?

  19. Volunteering in Beijing Task • If you were told by your boss or your teacher to help someone you did not know for one day, what would you do and how would you do it? • Write some basic notes (no sentences) and present your ideas to the class.

Think of how the government encouraged people to help each other after becoming a republic (1949), after the opening up of China and more recently.
