  10. Culture of Inclusion statement • University Housing believes in an inclusive community is essential to the personal growth of all community members. We strive to create an environment where we recognize, welcome, and celebrate all staff, students, and stakeholders’ identities. Through our mission, values and principles, we commit to building a department where all can feel a sense of belonging. Our commitment to inclusion is imperative. Personal awareness of social identities (e.g. gender, race, sexual orientation, ability) and an understanding of social structures that affect everyday life are critical. It is in the best interest of staff to enhance their knowledge and personal awareness concerning inclusion. This will lead to personal growth and organizational effectiveness.
