    1. Media concepts/Language Theory of narrative Vladimir Propp –1928 – suggested there are only a limited number of character types Apply this theory when you are creating comic characters and a narrative If you use Todorov and Propp – Examiner= IMPRESSED!

    2. Propp Hero – Central, drives forward the narrative – quest Heroine or Princess – A reward for the hero, usually passive. Modern narratives more active Villain – Wants to stop the hero or steal the princess, can be male or female Donor or Mentor – Gives the hero important information, or wise – cannot do quest without the hero Helper – Helps the hero on his quest, but cannot do it on their own

    3. Task 1 When watching the film make a note of how it follows Todorov and Propp’s theory Also make a note if it varies from the theory Use the sheets to help you

    4. Task 2 Using your superhero create a story that follows either Todorov Propp Or Both Write it down Turn it into a storyboard
