  1. Son Nguyen: Pioneering Sustainable Ventures at Dat.Bike as Vietnam's 1st EV The manufacturing and production of electric vehicles have risen in recent years as they possess lots of benefits in terms of reducing fuel consumption and overall environmental impacton the ecosystem and biodiversity. It is also helpful in controlling noise pollution and the most advantageous factors are affordability and zero carbon emission rates. The maximum use of this will help you in reducing pollution detriments like cancer, respiratory diseases, obesity, immune system disorders, and many more. The electric car market size in Vietnam is estimated to grow by a CAGR of 17.51 from 2024 to 2032. The government focuses on adopting 10% of electric vehicles among all the new vehicles sold in Vietnam. The local markets are more focused on producing scooters and the larger push for e-bikes is done by the private sector. The adoption of the electric vehicle can also benefit the nation's economy and growth. Here in this article, we are discussing the founder of the first e-bike company „Dat.Bike‟ in Vietnam called Son Nguyen. This also deals with the story behind the invention and the strategic approach to addressing the issue of environmental pollution. Son Nguyen: CEO & Co-Founder Son was born and grew up in Danang, and he was passionate about becoming a software engineer. After his school education, he went to the US to attain a bachelor‟s and Master's in the stream of Computer Science from the University of Illinois. From where is gained high technical knowledge and foundation in software. During his graduation, he used to come to Vietnam for vacation every year and observed the growth in bikes which caused the emission of pollutants of about 70%, and around 90% are based on gasoline. That is when he decided to find a solution to this vast effective problem. After he graduated, he started working in some top software companies like Microsoft and others. With his aim to solve he wanted to build a similar product that would be useful in Vietnam. He also observed that the adoption rate of electric bikes was just 3% though it has greater benefits than traditional bikes. Furthermore, he realized that the power of the electric bike was less and provided a shorter range of 50 km that was mostly used to handle the capacity of one person. But in Vietnam bikes were used for various purposes and needed the capacity to

The very first Dat Bike was designed in 2018 in his apartment and he learned to build an electric bike by himself. Later after many attempts he gave his friend to test drive it and they were all impressed and loved it, they also came forward to invest. That is how Dat.Bike was founded in the year 2019 by Son Nguyen. After 2 years it has a factory that distributed to 150+ suppliers and sold around 100 bikes. About Dat.Bike Dat Bike is an electric bike manufacturing company in Vietnam where the founder Son Nguyen invited the strategy of combining market and technology to help society. He says “At Dat Bike, we design and make electric motorbikes with a single goal in mind: no one in Vietnam should have to a wear face mask when going out.” After the visit to the shark tank Dat Bike accelerated in business and generated a revenue growth of 4,000% and a per-month rise in sales of 35%. The Dat.Bike can accelerate in 3 seconds for up to 50km/hr and just takes three hours to charge and its battery is sustainable for 100 km. the bike can also control speed on its own without the need for an external partner. The Dat.Bike is identified as the first electric bike that is manufactured in Vietnam and also is equal in performance to gasoline bikes by the Vietnam Ministry of Transport. Son Nguyen has invented a remarked and performative e-bike with his mission to make Vietnam cleaner and greener.
