  7. DIWALI • Light has two ways of being described and analysed in science: • There is the "particle" theory, expressed in part by the word photon. • There is the "wave" theory, expressed by the term light wave.

  8. DIWALI • So: • If light is a wave then it can go through things without alteration • If light is a particle then it could be quantified: contained

  9. DIWALI • Using these principles today we have TV screens, projectors, mobile phones, laptops • paintings of high value…etc.. • Light empowers human being to take control of the environment

  20. DIWALI • What goes through your mind when you hear the word: • Lights!: • Religious people will say if light is a wave it is the wave of God: it goes through everything . It pervades the universe • If light is a particle then it could be contained…wonderful to have earthen vessels containing lights

  21. DIWALI • The light of God is in the whole universe, it is this light that make us living being. This light we can give and share without dying, this light we can use to evolve and become better… • This light bring us together as one community, the community of human beings… So we celebrate the mystery of ourselves, the mystery of who we are and ought to be , we celebrate diwali
