  2. Do You Really Need a Mobile App for Your Business? • Mobile apps are pretty much the in-thing in new technology and marketing. Many businesses are beginning to see the value in having an app. However, they aren’t appropriate for every business. It really depends on the value it adds to your business, for some it’s a great amount, for others it’s minuscule. Below, we are going to consider several scenarios where it makes sense to build an app for your business.

  3. 1.If your customers order online, then a mobile app might well be suitable. • Often, if customers order via a website, they also want the option to place orders online. • Most people carry smartphones around with them, but they do not carry laptops and tablets. This can make it awkward for them to place orders on the fly, and instead, they may go to a competitor. • Think about it, yes, they can use their mobiles to visit your website, but it can often be irritating, with pages not loading properly, information jumping all over the page, etc. That irritation can really put off prospective customers. • If you know that your customers like to order your product/service while they’re out and about, then give them the easiest option for doing so, which is a mobile app.

When the smartphone is within a certain distance of your shop, you can have it receive a message. Around your business, you set what they call a “Geo-Fence”. This is the area around the shop in which if a potential customer arrives, their phone will receive any messages you’ve set people to receive within that Geo-fence.
