  1. Quebec Confirms that Summer Intake Period is Scheduled for Skilled Worker Program

  2. The government of Quebec has updated its website and, for the first time, publicized its intention to reopen the popular Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) for Canadian immigration in the summer of 2016. Moreover, The Ministère de l'Immigration, de la Diversité et de l'Inclusion (MIDI), the government ministry overseeing immigration to Quebec, Canada, has stated that candidates who have created an account under the Mon projet Québec application management system, but who are not successful in submitting an application within the quota of 2,800 spaces for the upcoming application intake period, will have their accounts kept for the next intake period. This will allow potential applicants to have at least one additional opportunity to submit an application in 2016. It was previously unknown whether or not the QSWP would reopen again after the upcoming application intake period, which runs from February 16, 2016 to March 31, 2016.
