Phase 1 – Project Status Update • Construction Began October 3, 2011 • Project Construction Cost • North Pine Aggregate - $620,000 • Completion Date – June 2012 • Phase 1 - “To-Do” List/Warranty Items • Minor Grading Around Catch Basins & Area Drains • Seeding • Removal of Erosion Control Devices

Phase 2 – Project Overview Design Considerations • Long Term Stability • Minimizing Encroachment on to Your Property While Maintaining the Long Term Stability • Original Goal was No Encroachment on to Private Property, but it was determined to not be Possible due to Existing Site Limitations • Grading • Level Rear Yards to the Extent Practical

Phase 2 – Project Overview Design Considerations (continued) • Bike Trail • Replace Bike Trail at Generally the Same Elevation as it is was Prior to Construction • Internal Drainage System • PVC Storm Sewer with Concrete Catch Basins • 5 Year Design (3.05” in 24 Hours) • 10 Year Event (3.77” in 24 Hours) • July 2011 Event (1.18” in 1 Hour) • Three (3) Surge Basins

Phase 2 – Project Overview Flood Protection Levels • Earthen Levee • Flood Stage 43 (1 Foot Below Temporary Levee) • This is lower than what has been done in other locations in Town due to the Geotechnical Engineer’s findings that the existing material on site has become consolidated due to the temporary levee being in place for the past couple years. • Structural Wall • Flood Stage 45 (1 Foot Below Temporary Levee) • 5 Feet Exposed

Easement Acquisition Process (Continued) The City also has an irrigation policy in place that will reimburse the property owner for repairs to their irrigation system that was damaged due to the temporary levee construction.  This policy has a maximum staff discrepancy of $1,000.00.
