They includeadminjobsinDubai, MEPjobs,airtrafficcontrol jobsinDubai airport,customerservice jobs,dutyfreeshopjobsinDubaiandmuch more. Expoisexpected topumpinupwardsof$23 billionandexpects 25 million visitors overaperiodofsixmonthsin2020. 45,000newhotelrooms wouldneedtobebuiltkeepingafairassumptionthat70%oftheExpo visitorswouldvisitfromoutsidetheUAE.Thiswouldcreate20,000 newjobsinDubai hotels. Theevent wouldhelpDubai furtherdiversifyfromoilrelatedactivitiestonon-oil based economy–construction,tourism,hospitality,travel, leisure,infrastructureetc. Asof2 November,BillGates–thefounderofMicrosoftCorporation,JamesCameron–Prime MinisterofUK,Netherlands,Franceandahostofother nationshavesupportedDubai’sbidto hostExpo2020. Thehuge public supportandlevelofenthusiasmclearlyindicatesBIE’s decisiontovoteforDubai, UAE. AbuDhabi andSharjahjobmarkettobenefitfromExpo2020 AbuDhabi,thecapital ofDubai andSharjah, thethirdlargestemirateintheUAEwouldalso benefit ifDubai winsExpo2020 bid.TheproposedExpo2020 venueisatanequal distancefrom Dubai andAbuDhabi andthiswouldbeaboosttoAbuDhabi economy.Thekeyjobcreation sectorsintheseemirateswouldbetourismandtravel inAbuDhabi&constructionandhousing inSharjah. Theevent isalsoofparticularinterestforthelabormarketandsearch firmsinUAE.60%ofall jobsarebeingfilledthroughsearch firmsintheUAEand eachoftheconsultanciesinthe overcrowdedmarketishopingtohavealarger pieoftheirown.
