  18. Graduation Requirements* • Students must have 24 credits in specific areas to graduate. • English (EN): 3 • Language Arts (LA): 1 • Social Studies: 3 • Government (GV): 1, World History (WH): 1, US History (US): 1 • Math (MA): 3 • Science: 3 • Biology (BS): 1, Physical (PS): 1, Elective(BS or PS): 1 • Health (HE): 0.5 • Fine Art (FA): 1 • Practical Art: 1 • Personal Finance (PF): 0.5, Practical Art (PA): 0.5 • Physical Education: 1 • Electives: 7.5 • Earned when other areas are complete or when code is EL *Please note, these are basic requirements and may not reflect admission requirements to post-secondary training/education. Students must research options to select coursework that will fulfill any additional requirements.

  19. Determining Credits Needed for Graduation… 1. Get a copy of your transcript from Home Access

  20. 2. Use your transcript to figure out what credits you’ve already earned • EN = English • SS= Social Studies • GV= Government • WH= World History • US= US History • MA= Math • PS= Physical Science • BS= Biological Science • PE= Physical Education • HE= Health • FA= Fine Art • PA =Practical Art • PF= Personal Finance • Etc. • You can also find your GPA and • Calculate your total credits from your transcript (ex. for this student 6.75+7+3.5= 17.25 cumulative credits, so she needs an additional 6.75 (24 minus 17.25) credits for graduation)

  21. 3. Compare your transcript to the chart of Graduation Requirements to figure out what you still need… • For example, this student has earned 2.5 English credits. • If she passes English 11 H 2nd semester of 11th grade, she will earn .5 EN credits for 2nd semester which will give her 3 credits by the end of her junior year. • So she will need 1 EN or LA credit next year in order to fulfill graduation requirements.

  22. Courses Often Selected for 10th grade • Physical Education • Fine Art • World Language (some colleges require or recommend two levels of the same language for admission) • Practical Art

  23. For Choir and Band • All students enroll with one number; auditions will inform placement in the course options. See the registration guide for more details. • Choir: 8435FA • Band: 8340FA
