  2. Thesis • There were many hero’s and fads of the 1920s that were very significant to the decade.

  3. Dancing • Charleston, Fox-trot, and the Shimmy • Dance marathons • Competed for thousands of dollars • To stay awake, they smelled salts and used ice packs • Some soaked their feet in vinegar and brine for three weeks so they couldn’t feel their feet
