You are our most important resource and without your dedication and flexibility we would not be so successful season after season. It takes a lot to have a great season, but aren’t these kids worth it? It’s all about FUN!

  6. Zero Tolerance Policy Youth Soccer League (BAYS). ZeroTolerance Zero Tolerance & Sportsmanship 50-100 issues per season in BAYS • No one, except the players, is to speak to the referee during or after the game! • Coaches may ask questions before the game (i.e.-How long are halves?, offsides?, heading?) • Coaches may call for substitutions • Coaches may point out emergencies • Coaches may respond to the referee if addressed • Use our referee feedback survey

FieldInformation Turf Field Restrictions: • Only players, coaches & referees on the field • No spectators allowed on the field • Only water is allowed, no juice, Gatorade or food • No tents, canopies, or umbrellas that penetrate the turf Goals: • Do not move the goals at Haskell Field under any circumstances! • Goals must be sandbagged on the turf fields • Check the nets frequently and report issues right away • Do not let players hang on the crossbars

Fall2019Schedule Youth Soccer League (BAYS). • Kindergarten – 1st Grade Teams: • Season starts (1st sessions) – September 7th and 8th • No sessions/games Columbus Day Weekend • Season ends – November 9th and 10th • 2nd – 8th Grade Teams: • Season starts (1st sessions) – September 3rd • First Games– September 7th and 8th • Games are scheduled for Columbus Day Weekend (except 2nd Grade) • Season ends – November 9th and 10th

FieldClosures Field closures due to inclement weather are determined by Sudbury Park and Recreation, then passed along to SYSA for family notification. • Check SYSA website home page (top left) for field closures • Subscribe to RainedOut: www.rainedout.com or Text SUDBURY to 70359 • Please note that these two items are not synched!

MedicalInformation Always have SYSA Medical Information for ALL players at ALL times! • Medical Information documents will be sent to you via email with your rosters • Familiarize yourself with your players’ medical information • Print a copy and place in first aid kit Know your players allergies!

  20. BAYS Coach Pass Cards Youth Soccer League (BAYS). EquipmentDetails • All equipment is provided for the teams through the player fees. We are active in replenishing the stock each season so that players are always using high quality gear. • FOR ALL AGE GROUPS: • Pinnies (two colors) • Cones (three colors) • First Aid Kit and Ice Packs • Manual Ball Pump and Needles • Equipment Bag • AGE-GROUP-SPECIFIC EQUIPMENT: • K, 1st and 2nd Grade: Size 3 balls • 3rd to 6th Grade: Size 4 balls, goalkeeper gloves • 7th Grade to HS: Size 5 balls and goalies provide their own gloves

EquipmentDetails • How do I get or return equipment? • Email Andy Smith at: equipment@sudburysoccer.org • First Aid supplies and ice packs can be taken from the flag shed (which is attached to the trailer) at Haskell. The shed will should be open during practices and game times. • Goals (Pugg Nets) for Kindergarten and 1st Grade • Kept in the trailer and delivered by Revolution Coaches • Goals (Samba) for 2nd Grade • Kept in the pen next to the trailer • The pen should be opened before games • Teams that play first set them up • Teams that play last return them and lock the pen

EquipmentDetails • How can you help us? • Let us know if nets or goals need to be repaired • Pick up any gear left on the field if you are the last one there • Take care of the gear and periodically wash pinnies and goalkeeper gloves • When done with your gear bag, remove all non-SYSA equipment before returning it

Coach& RefereeSurveys Youth Soccer League (BAYS). • Each season we rely on feedback from our coaches to help guide us towards reaching our fullest potential: • End of Season Coaches Survey • Weekly Game Survey– Referee Feedback (New Last Fall) • It is important to take the time to complete these surveys when they are available. It helps us to pinpoint positives as well as areas where we need improvement • Surveys are conducted through Google Forms and remain anonymous unless you provide us your contact information

Youth Soccer League (BAYS). • Coach &RefereeSurveys • Over the past few seasons feedback from coaches, parent and referee surveys have allowed us as an organization to: • Create coaching clinics before fall season • Make significant improvements to the website • Introduce new field numbers on goal nets • Reinforce referee program • Create further transparency into BAYS Evaluations • Further expand on coaching curriculum with skill videos • Implement TeamSnap for Grade 2-8 teams

  27. TeamSnap-A Coaches Lifesaver Field Closures Youth Soccer League (BAYS). Introduced 2 years ago, TeamSnap is a sports team/leaguemanagement platform for Grade 2-8 teams: • All Grade 2-8 teams have been populated with player and coaches data. You need to complete your page by adding practice and game schedule, ”snack duty” assignments, etc. • If you haven’t already, please review your team and make sure all families have “accepted” their invitation to join the team • Coaches and Asst. Coaches can edit without contacting me. If you are stuck, by all means please reach out • Notifications from Ross and Revolution Academy Coaches regarding Group Nights will be done via TeamSnap only! Make sure to accept his invitation as a coach when you receive it

Field Closures Completing Your Team Youth Soccer League (BAYS). • Create your training and game Schedule (enter game address, arrival time, field #) • Add Assignments (oranges/popsicles) • Invite families to review Availability tab and list any know absences for game planning • Email families with ease using the Messages tab
