  3. Distributions: • The Chinese Mitten Crab is from China • The crab was introduced in Germany in the 1900’s • Today, the Mitten Crab is found in California • Some commercial shrimp trawlers discovered the first Chinese Mitten Crab in 1992 in the southern San Francisco Bay

  4. Effects on People: • Chinese Mitten Crabs eat the Oriental Lung Fluke • Diseases may be transmitted to humans

  5. Effects on Ecosystem: • The Chinese Mitten Crab burrow a lot • Because of their burrowing, they cause the banks to destruct which also may lead to the disruption in the aquatic food chain
