  5. ELA: 3 Big Shifts • Building cultural, content and vocabulary knowledge through content-rich, fiction, nonfiction and informational texts. • Reading, writing, speaking and listening grounded in evidence from text. • Regular practice with complex text and its academic vocabulary.
