  1. What’s new • Results with respect to version 3 of new code (with first trial set of dEta cuts). • In PtMethods code, Max(L) is calculated twice. First, using (dPhiA, dPhiB) then using (-dPhiA, -dPhiB) to account for the fact that we get |dPhiA|, where the relative sign of dPhiB is derived from delta_phi_sign bit. Currently the we take Max(PT+, PT-) as our solution. • Since all constants going into the likelihood estimator are identical, an alternative approach is to take the PT which corresponds to Max(L+, L-) instead of Max(PT+, PT-). • In the forward region, this has an added benefit of allowing us to choose the PT solution between the 3 trials which best fits with all stubs in the track as implied by the value of the likelihood itself. dPhi v 1/pt, ME1 – ME2 dPhi 1/pt
