Agenda • Two-page intros for approved SBC IMT: Start w/CDW Practice Promotion QIVC? • Update on ms-DBC training in Niger • Assignments for SBCTF review of new multi-sectoral DBC manual • Progress on reviews of the CSHGP projects (underweight reduction.) • Core Competencies Assessment Tool • Upcoming SBC Trainings

  3. 1. Two-page Intros for approved SBC IMT • Said we would do these for the five SBC tools we recommended… • Format? What to include? • Lead person for each: • CDW QIV Checklist (Tom) • PD/Hearth • Barrier Analysis • Care Groups • PDQ

  4. 2. Update on DBC Training (Niger) • Still 5-10 September. • Workshop host (in-country) now HKI. • Consultant, Bonnie Kittle • French draft now available. Dissemination after modifications made after Niger workshop.

  5. 3. Assignments for SBCTF review of new multi-sectoral DBC manual • The new multisectoral Designing for Behavior Change manual draft has been completed. • We need reviewers. • 21 Tasks (lesson plans) and reference materials, 213 pages total. • 5-10 reviewers, 2-4 Tasks each? Assignments?

Progress on reviews of the CSHGP projects (underweight reduction.) • Received (71%): • IRC/Rwanda 2005 (Adugna), • IEF/Malawi 2006 (Diane), • CARE/Ethiopia (Tom) • WRC/Cambodia 2007 (Terry) • HAI/E. Timor (Paul) • Outstanding (29%): • MCDI/Benin (Alison Prather, 9 Sept.) • SAWSO/SA (Phil Moses, 9 Sept.) • Lessons Learned (reviewers): • We will look for any trends once the last three reviews are turned in.

Core Competencies Assessment Tool • BTW: Core Competencies to be mentioned in FFP guidance, hopefully with a link to this short description: http://www.CareGroupInfo.org/docs/FSN_Network_SBCTF_Approved_Methods_and_Tools_Aug_2011.pdf • See file – this is for SBC Managers, or those who have that role (but a different title). • Needs to be updated to concur with Ashley’s latest revision of the SBC Core Competencies. (Ashley?) • Other changes needed? • Who wants to take the lead in modifying this?

Upcoming SBC Trainings TOPS Training in Maputo, 19-20 Sept (invitation only, SBC sessions included: BA for Ag/NRM, Care Groups “how to”) FSN Network meetings in Maputo, 21-23 Sept (SBC sessions included: CG field implementation Roundtables, Monitoring Quality of SBC, SBC Core Competencies) DBC Training w/Bonnie Kittle, October 17-21 (using new curriculum)
