  5. Nine Principles guide “The Four Step Approach” Step 1: Formulation of assumptions Step 2: Establishing field survey parameters Step 3: Elaboration of a survey plan, questionnaires and training Step 4: Supervision, analysis and reporting Conducting a Trader Survey

  6. Step 1: Formulation of assumptions The first step of every trader survey is to get the basic data, assumptions and hypotheses on the table: assumptions about affected populations, markets, shock impacts, and potential response options. Conducting a Trader Survey

  7. Step 2: Establishing field survey parameters The second step is to select the market chains, market products, geography, actual markets, trader sample parameters of the trader survey. Conducting a Trader Survey
