  1. An adjective is a describing word. Adjectives are used to add more detail to descriptions. On the next slide you will see a text. Can you guess where the text is from? Then can you find 14 adjectives?

  2. This magnificent house stands at the top of a mountain range in the picturesque village of Sayalonga. The location offers spectacular views of the surrounding villages and further off in the distance is the pretty coastal town of Torrox Costa. The house itself has three spacious bedrooms, a beautiful kitchen and a large living area decorated with a fascinating array of traditional Spanish artefacts. Outside there is a well kept patio area and a large, inviting swimming pool. All this for the fantastic price of £500 per week!

  3. The text is from a holiday brochure. It is advertising the house. • Imagine that you are trying to put people off going on this holiday. • Change the adjectives to make it sound horrible. You could have a dirty house or a rat-infested swimming pool! • Challenge! You cannot use the same word twice.
