    1. Mrs. Allen Library Media Specialist New to Levey this Fall will be the Career Lab. While the lab consists of only 6 computer stations all 15 of the stations in the Media Center can be quickly converted to use for career exploration. Content Requirements: This PowerPoint show is designed as a brief presentation at our staff meeting on Monday, June 11, 2001. It will serve as an introduction of the school’s new Career Lab (which opens in the Fall) and the new mandatory career exploration classes for 8th graders. Often teachers are afraid of change and resistant to new ideas and innovations. Shifting paradigms is most difficult for “seasoned” teachers. This presentation is beneficial because it introduces in a non-threatening manner and it summarizes the program while clarifying the roles of the major participants. Hopefully staff members will leave the presentation feeling informed about the new career class instead of the class being the “gripe of the day” in the teacher’s lounge.New to Levey this Fall will be the Career Lab.
