  3. The absolute sense of knowledge! Quran & Sunnah

  4. What is Our Purpose in Life? • Allah (swt) tells us in the Quran in the interpretation of the meaning: “I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me.” (Quran, 51:56)

  5. Which comes first, knowledge or faith?

  6. The Prophet said: “Near the establishment of the Hour, there will be the days of Al-Harj (i.e., killing), and the religious knowledge will be taken away (vanish i.e. by the death of Religious scholars) and general ignorance will spread.” (Bukhari) Day of Judgment Knowledge Ignorance

  7. The Prophet said: “The first thing the people will be accountable for on the Day of Judgment is prayer” (Ahmad and Abu Dawood)

  8. Is the one who has knowledge of Islam equal to the one who does not and why?

  9. “Say: 'Are those who know equal to those who know not?' It is only men of understanding who will remember (that is get a lesson from Allah's signs).” (Quran, 39:9) "Shall he then who knows that what has been revealed unto you (O Muhammad) from your Lord is the truth be like him who is blind? But it is only the men of understanding that pay heed.” (Quran, 13:19) Allah (saw) tells us in the Quran in the interpretation of the meaning:

  10. Seeking knowledge of the religion helps achieve Taqwa (fear) of Allah and increases Iman. Allah says, in the interpretation of the meaning: “It is only those who have knowledge among His slaves that fear Allah.” (Quran, 35:28)

Time • Do we take advantage of our time by seeking knowledge or do we spend our time with things that divert us away from learning about our religion? • Narrated by Ibn 'Abbas: The Prophet said: • “There are two blessings which many people lose: (They are) Health and free time for doing good.”  (Bukhari)

  12. Allah (swt) says in the interpretation of the meaning: • “By Asr (the time). Verily! Man is in loss. Except those who believe and do righteous good deeds, and recommend one another to the truth and recommend one another to patience” (Quran, 103:1-3)

  14. Are you using the internet as a means of seeking knowledge or are you a victim to the Dangers on the Internet?

  15. Facts: • The Center for Missing and Exploited Children. • 1 in 5 youth (19%) • 70% of the sexual solicitations or harassment occurred when the youth were at home and 25% of the incidents occurred when they were at someone else’s home.

  16. The Most Popular Site in America • How many of you have heard of MySpace.com and how many of you have a profile on there or know someone who does?

  17. Conclusion • Allah (swt) says, • “O you who believe! Protect yourselves and your families from the Fire whose fuel will be people and stones.” (Quran, 66:6) • “If you could but see where they will be held over the (Hell) Fire! They will say, 'Would that we were but sent back (to the world).” (Quran, 6:27)
