  1. First-Time Renter’s Guide to Luxury Astoria Apartments, Queens NY Renting for the first time in New York City isn’t an easy task. There are few housing markets as fiercely competitive as Manhattan, New York. The lights of Broadway, the beauty of Central Park, and the bustle of the big city draw many would be New Yorkers to the city each year. As a result, finding apartments - luxury or otherwise - can be challenging. However, there are many neighborhoods surrounding Manhattan with character and luxury apartments these days. All you have to do is follow the map across the 59th St Bridge from the Upper East Side and you’ll find Astoria for luxury apartments in Queens. Situated in the Western portion of Queens, the neighborhood is an underrated gem that can be overlooked, and tragically so. Apartments for rent in Long Island City, have become very popular recently, particularly with renters.

  2. Just across the East River, Astoria is one of the last truly diverse neighborhoods in NYC. It’s a melting pot of cultures and the neighborhood’s diversity shows in its expansive dining, shopping, and entertainment options. Easy Access to All of NYC Another reason behind Astoria’s burgeoning popularity is its location. The New York Ferry system services the neighborhood, connecting travelers as far south as Red Hook and very soon will connect with the newly renovated La Guardia Airport to the north. Celebrating History The neighborhood is home to many historical landmarks that captivate locals and tourists alike. The Noguchi Museum is located on 33rd Rd, pays tribute to the legacy and artwork of famed Japanese artist and landscape architect Isamu Noguchi. Likewise, you’ll also find The People’s Museum on Crescent Avenue, located between 24th and 26th St. Other historical landmarks include the Steinway Clock south of 30th Avenue and Steinway Mansion which is dedicated to the boyhood home of the two brothers who eventually would make the world- famous pianos sold the world over. In addition, the neighborhood is also home to Astoria Park, which houses the Astoria Park War Memorial. The park itself - bordered by Ditmars Avenue and Hoyt Avenue - features an Olympic-sized swimming pool for visitors to enjoy during the hot summer heat. Shopping with Character Astoria also has some fantastic shopping offerings. Broadway and 30th Avenue have emerged as dining and shopping hubs, enticing younger crowds to the neighborhood. They house numerous notable outlets, including Brass Owl and Lockwood Style. Time Out Magazine also recently lauded 30th Ave as the distinction of the coolest street in New York. A Foodie’s Delight

  3. Astoria also houses some fantastic eateries and cafes that are worth visiting. The Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a European experience in NYC. It offers premium-quality Czech beers and grilled Bratwursts. Sweet Afton is another critically acclaimed gastro-pub located on 34th St. Consider spending an evening here sipping on your favorite cocktail and high-minded pub fare.
