Observations by Monitoring Institution : Centre for Development, Communication and Studies (CDCS) for the period April to September, 2012Districts covered : South Goa • MDM in all the sample schools was supplied by SHG. By the lunch time in schools MDM became cold, especially Pulao. According to children, pulao becomes tasteless, dry and cold during lunch time. • 21 schools did not display their weekly menu. • The supply of green & leafy vegetables has not been reported by the schools. • In 06 schools children were not satisfied with the quality of meal and in 10 schools children were not satisfied with the quantity of meal. • In 16 schools children were not given micronutrients. • In 28 schools children did not have adequate utensils for taking MDM. In these schools children bring Tiffin from their home for taking MDM. Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India
