  4. ¿Cómo eres? • To talk about yourself say YO SOY ... • Ex: Yo soy guapa • Ex: Yo soy alto • Ex: Yo soy inteligente

  5. ¿Cómo es la chica/chico? • To talk about someone else say ELLA ES • If he is a male, say EL ES ... • Ex: El chico es muy bueno • Ex: La chica es muy buena

  6. Gender agreement • Keep in mind that if you are talking about a female, your adjectives most likely end with -a: La chica es alta • If you are talking about a male, then adjectives will probably end in -o: El chico es alto

  7. Neutral adjective • However, some adjectives do not have gender. They are neutral. They do not end in -o or -a. You can use them with both females and males. • Ex: La chica es inteligente. EL chico es inteligente.

  8. Remember the number! • If you are talking about one, your adjective will be singular (no -s). • If you are talking about more than one, add the -s! Ex: Los chicos son inteligentes. Las chicas son altas.

  9. To talk about hair ... • Moreno = dark hair • Rubio = blonde hair • Castaño o color café = brown hair • Pelirrojo = red hair • pelo largo = long hair • pelo corto = short hair

  11. Eyes • Eyes in Spanish is OJOS ... which is a plural word! So remember your S!!! • green = _______ • blue = ________ • black = _______ • brown = _______

  13. Body appearance • Find the following words: tall, short, attractive, beautiful, handsome, skinny, chubby, muscular, presentable ...

  14. Vocabulario • Alto(a), bajo(a), atractivo(a), guapa / bella, guapo, flaco(a), gordo(a), muscular, presentable

  15. Práctica ... • Antonio and Maria are tall • Sylvia is very beautiful • We are muscular • Sofía is not chubby • They are very attractive
