  3. Spine Boarding • Initiate Emergency Plan • Stabilize head • Perform Primary Survey • Nervous system • Respiratory system • Circulatory system • Retrieve spine board

Log Roll • Prone athlete should be log rolled onto back • All extremities in line • 4+ people • Captain at head • 2-3 for trunk and limbs • 1 for board • Neck MUST remain in original position • Place spine board close to athlete • Captain gives command to roll onto board • Head stabilized • Log Roll

  5. Straddle-Slide • Supine athlete • 4+ • Captain at head • 2-4 for trunk and limbs • 1 for spine board

  6. Lift and slide • 6+ • Captain at head • 4-6 for trunk and limbs • 1 for board • Lift and slide

  7. Spine Boarding • If football player, face mask must be removed • Head and neck are stabilized by strapping • Trunk and limbs are secured by strapping
