  1. David-Michelangelo(1501–1504)

  2. The second of five brothers, Michelangelo was born on March 6, 1475, at Caprese, in Tuscany, to Ludovico di Leonardo di BuonarottoSimoni and Francesca Neri. Buonarroti's mother was too sick and frail to nurse Michelangelo, so he was placed with a wet nurse in a family of stone cutters, where he problably learned how to sculpt a bit. Buonarroti's mother died young when he was six years old. But even before Michelangelo didn’t get that much affection so he tended to be serious which made him touchy and grouchy and tended to keep to himself and didn’t trust in his fellows. His father soon sent him to school with Francesco Galeota from Urbino, who in that time taught grammar. While he studied the principles of Latin, Michelangelo made friends with Francesco Granacci a student who was learning the art of painting in Ghirlandaio's studio and encouraged Michelangelo to try it too. He soon grew very popular and began to work for the Medeci and many of the church producing his very famous art works. Michelangelo Buonarroti died on February 18th, 1564 due to a fever.
