Target group • Pupils who attend their last year at compulsory school and have their own special course of study. • The school is worried about their future. • How to continue after compulsory school? • Collaboration between professionals who are involved. 5. 6. Basic principles • You think that a year has passed and things are quite well • Two facilitators are leeding the meeting, one interviews and the other ”makes public notes” • Everyone gets the same basic questions • Talking and listening will be separated • Everybody talks from his own point of view Kerstin Johansson-Juup & Eivor Österlund 5.8.2009

  7. Basic principles • The discussion has a clear structure and a clearly worded aim • The discussion leeds to a concrete workable plan • There is a clearly said theme for the meeting and the family knows it in advance • The worry should be clearly expressed • The result is a plan that everybody can accept Kerstin Johansson-Juup & Eivor Österlund 5.8.2009

  8. The questions to the family • A year has passed and things are quite well. How are they for you (what are you especially happy about?) • What did you do to bring about this positive developement and who helped you and how? • What made you worried ”a year ago” and what lessened your worries? Kerstin Johansson-Juup & Eivor Österlund 5.8.2009

  9. The questions to the professionals • As you heard, things are quite well in the family. What did you do to support the good developement – and who helped you and how? • What made your worried ”a year ago” and what lessened your worries? Kerstin Johansson-Juup & Eivor Österlund 5.8.2009

  10. What makes the anticipation dialogues succesful? • The participation of the private network • No surprises but predictable • Facilitators who are outsiders to the case • Puplic notes for all to see • Positive meetings Kerstin Johansson-Juup & Eivor Österlund 5.8.2009

  11. What is needed so: • Willy gets support to become more independent/take more responsibility/to get better self-confidence? • The last year at school will become as good as possible? • To get a realistic plan for Willy after finishing the school? • To give the parents the support they need? Kerstin Johansson-Juup & Eivor Österlund 5.8.2009
