  8. FDA is very lenient on ensuring quality of imports • COOL (Country of Origin Labeling) • Tainted food that is found is not properly disposed of • Food not prepared properly • Melamine biggest problem in food WHAT WE LEARNED…

Many of the contaminants and contaminated items are common household items. • China is out to make the most profit by using any substitute in any product as long as it is cheaper to make • United States needs to step up and put stricter regulations on imports • Americans are aware but no significant regulation has been set forth IN CONCLUSION…
