  1. Most Common WordPress Errors and How to Fix Them Most Common WordPress Errors and How to Fix Them Sometimes you may find your website is not working properly, images are gone and not displayed properly or several error phrases while working on WordPress. Errors are a common part of development that can be seen in e-commerce application development, WooCommerce mobile app, custom app development etc. Before updating your next post on WordPress make sure you have read out all the errors that you might encounter in WordPress at least once. I have compiled the most common errors of WordPress here with the solutions. The Syntax Error The Syntax Error Syntax errors are connected with code omission or wrong code syntax. When any unexpected thing found in the code, you can see this type of parse error with the location and the line number of the script where the error occurred: Parse error- syntax error, unexpected $end in /public_html/site1/wp-content/themes/my-theme/functions.php on line 278 Often missing curly bracket, missing a semicolon at the end of an individual line or some unexpected character in the code causes a syntax error. A better way is to check the code locally before updating it into a live website. Taking a backup of websites before implementing any changes are the best to deal.

  2. 2. The Internal Server Error The Internal Server Error Often you will see an error that reads “Internal Server Error” or “500 Internal Server Error”. This most confusing WordPress error is catchall error messages that signify some problem with your server. Possibilities of causing this error are wide and there is no indication where you should check for the error. Here are some of the methods to fix this issue. ● The corrupted .htaccess file can be one of the reasons of internal server error. Login your website using FTP and rename your .htaccess file to .htaccess_old. After renaming the file, try to reload your website to confirm if it has solved the issue. If the problem has solved then visit Settings > Permalinks and reset your permalinks. This will create a new .htaccess file for you. ● Something it may be a reason of plugin issue. So deactivate all the plugins to check if it caused by the plugin. It’s better to deactivate all the plugins at once to find out which plugin is causing the issue. After deactivating if it works properly then it might be a plugin issue. Now activate each plugin one by one to see which plugin is responsible for the issue. ● Increase the PHP Memory limit as insufficient memory can be the reason of internal syntax errors. How you can increase the limit of the available memory: Open the file using FTP and add the following line ● define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '128M').

  3. ● If still, issues are unable to figure out then re-upload the core files, which are the folders WP-includes and WP-admin. It might fix your problem if it’s related to core files. ● Call your hosting provider to help you out if all the above methods failed to solve the issue. 3. Establishing a Database Connection Error 3.
