  1. Taskgroup 700 report to SC8 David Case

  2. 700 MHz Report • Working to define the actual technology that will be used in this band (EV-DO, W-CDMA, WiMAX, LTE). • Working with HEI on 700 MHz research issues. • Working on development of Articulate Weighting Factors (AWF) for the technology • Addressing probe calibration and test dipole issues

  3. Addressing Wi-Fi Technology • Limited or no HAC data on Wi-Fi handsets to current version of standard, research started • Addressing Articulate Weighting Factors for Wi-Fi modulation • Probe calibration issues for Wi-Fi broadband signals • Need to address HAC issues for testing above 3 GHz for U-NII and Public Safety radios • Issues being addressed by task group

  4. Wi-Fi Research • Preliminary power measurements of 100mW VoIP phones that were tested per C63.19 demonstrates average field strength measurements around 50V/m or less at 10mm.(Cisco, Moto, Sony-E) • Requests to WFA for additional data.

  5. Status • First draft of modified standard forwarded to main C 63.19 group • C 63 met with FCC to discuss status of standard. • Request from FCC for additional data on Wi-Fi needed by end of May.
