Finally in 2010 the Law on Agriculture Extension and Expert Service was adopted • Agricultural Extension Service of Serbia (PSSS) is organised in 34 centres. 22 centres are controlled and coordinated by the Institute for Science Application in Agriculture (IPN), and 12 centres by the Provincial Secretariat for Agriculture of Vojvodina

  3. Training of agricultural extension agents and farmers is envisaged by Articles 22, 23 and24 of this law. The organisation appointed for this training is the Institute for Science Application in Agriculture. • According to the Mid-Term Work Programme and the Annual Work Programme for Agricultural Extension, the Institute for Science Application in Agriculture sends annual training plans to the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management and the Expert Council of Agricultural Extension Work and Applied Research for their approval

Informing farmers about agricultural policy measures Work on forming associations and other social groups in rural areas Data collection and dissemination for the Agricultural Marketing Information System of Serbia(STIPS) Monitoring and reporting on seasonal agricultural operations Extension activities
