Attendance • Students must submit a note to the Attendance Office (located in West Hall), send a fax (770-887-1132), or e-mail the attendance office within five (5) school days of absence in order for absence to be excused. • Please include: student first and last name, date(s) of absence(s), and reason. • Parents may fax or email a note to Shirley McKinzie, Attendance Secretary, at shmckinzie@forsyth.k12.ga.us. • Notes written by students are not accepted.   3. Check-in/Check-out Students have to check-in and check-out through the Attendance Office located in West Hall. Check-in • Students must sign in through the Attendance Office when they arrive at school after the first period bell. Check-out • To obtain an Early Check-out Pass, students are responsible for submitting a note to the Attendance Office before school starts. • If it is necessary for a student to check-out early due to illness, the student must be seen by the school nurse. • Students cannot be checked-out over the phone

  5. Nuts and Bolts PE Uniforms • Cost $25 ($15 shorts & $10 shirt). Must be purchased through MPP. Please present receipt in PE class on first day. Ms. Dawn Garrett will assist with questions and will take payments. • We still accept cash or check on location, make sure to write student's name & ID number on the check Transportationhttp://www.forsyth.k12.ga.us/Page/845 • To see your child’s specific assignment and pickup time, please log into Parent Portal and click on Transportation.  • Bus routes and slot numbers are posted in East Hall and West Hall

Nuts and Bolts Lockers • Cost $10 and must be purchased through MPP • Locker distribution will be in the Media Center during the Walk-about • Students should choose a locker location based on 4th period class. Clubs and organizations • Please stop by the Auxiliary Gym (located in West Hall) for a preview of clubs and organizations • Club Blitz will be held for Freshman students during Instructional Focus.

  7. Dress Code The school administration is authorized to determine what constitutes appropriate or inappropriate dress for the school setting. Prohibited items and practices include, but may not be limited to the following: • Garments that expose the midriff or cleavage, see through or mesh clothing, halter or tank tops, pajamas, sleep or lounge wear • Attire must cover the abdomen, cleavage, back and shoulders • Hats, caps, and other head apparel may not be worn inside the school building except for religious or medical purposes.
