2. The Book Please buy the book for Thursday’s class 다음 수업에 반드시 교재를 지참하기 바랍니다. (교재는 제1학생회관 서점에서 구매가능합니다.) If you buy a used book, please erase the answers before class 중고 책을 사용할 경우, 수업이전에 교재의 답을 모두 지운 후 지참하기 바랍니다. Bring a file to organize the extra handouts the teacher will give you. 수업 교재 이외에 별도로 배부 될 유인물을 정리할 파일을 별도로 지참하기 바랍니다. World English 1

3. Course expectancies 11 Absences = You Fail 10 Absences = You pass 최대 10번까지 결석 가능하며, 11번을 결석하는 경우, 생활영어 2 수업에 불합격 처리 됩니다.

4. So.... If you are going to be absent, please bring me an absence excuse form. You can find it on the EGC website http://cnulang.jnu.ac.kr 수업에 결석할 경우 학과에서 발행하는 ‘결강사유서’를 반드시 지참하기 바랍니다. 결강사유서는 EGC(생활영어) 홈페이지에서 다운로드 할 수 있으며, 각 학과의 직인이 찍혀야 유효합니다. (1) 병원에 가는 경우: 결강사유서와 별도로 의사소견서 지참 (2) 군대에 가는 경우: 결강사유서와 별도의 서류 필요 Only this form will be accepted

5. And... • If you are more than 5 minutes late, you get a “late mark”. 3 late marks = 1 absent 수업에 5분 이상 늦을 경우, 지각 처리 되며 3번의 지각은 1번의 결석으로 처리됩니다. (지각 3회 = 결석 1회) • If you are 15 minutes late, you get an absent mark. 수업에 15분 이상 늦을 경우, 결석처리 됩니다.

6. And... • If your previous class before this class is far away on campus and you will always be late, tell the teacher before so you don’t get marked late. EGC수업 강의실과 이전 수업 강의실이 멀리 떨어져 있는 관계로 수업에 항상 늦게 도착할 수 밖에 없는 경우, 지각처리 되지않도록 강사에게 사전에 알려주기 바라며, 본인의 강의시간표를 별도로 제출하기 바랍니다.

7. Evaluation - 말하기점수 Every week you will get a speaking mark score out of 3. How do you get 3 points? • Speak / Ask questions / Do activities / Work 수업 시간에 적극적으로 참여하는 경우 매주 3점씩 추가 점수가 부여되며, 수업 평가에서 높은 점수를 받을 수 있습니다.

8. Evaluation Every week you will get a speaking mark score out of 3. How do you get 0 points (or a low mark)? • Don’t work / Use your cell phone / Talk to friends 수업에 적극적으로 참여 하지 않고, 핸드폰을 사용하거나, 친구와 잡담을 하는 경우 수업 평가에서 낮은 점수를 받을 수 있습니다.

9. Speaking Mark - 말하기점수 The speaking mark is based on how much you have participated in class. 말하기 점수는 수업 참여도를 기준으로 평가됩니다. You will have one point deducted if you are absent without an excuse. 어떠한 경우라도 결강사유서를 제출하지 않고 결석한 경우 1점의 점이 있습니다. Also, there is one point deduction if you are not participating, sleeping, using your cell phone, talking to friends, late for class, etc. 또한 수업에 결석을 하거나, 수업 중 핸드폰을 사용하거나, 친구와 수다를 떨거나, 지각을 하는 등 수업 참여도가 떨어진다고 판단되는 경우 1점의 감점이 있습니다.

10. Evaluation: Presentation Each student must give a presentation in Nov - December. The presentation is worth 7 points and is part of your speaking mark. More information will be given later. 모든 학생들은 학기말 (5월-6월 )에 영어 프리젠테이션 과제를 수행해야하며, 이는 말하기 전체 점수 중 7점으로 평가됩니다. 더 자세한 정보는 추후 공지될 예정입니다.

11. Evaluation = Homework You must do the Online Listening Homework on the EGC Website (http://cnulang.jnu.ac.kr) Each listening homework is 3 points. There are 10 listening homework assignments. 학기 중에 촌 10회의 온라인 듣기 평가가 별도의 과제로 진행회며, 각각의 평가는 3점씩 부여됩니다. 온라인 듣기 평가는 EGC 홈페이지에서 진행됩니다.

Rules for my class If you … 수업시간에 만약 … -sleep in class 잠을 자거나 -don’t do any work 어떠한 활동에도 참여하지 않거나 -don’t bring a book 수업교재를 지참하지 않거나 - always talk to your friends 친구와 잡담을 하거나 - always use your cell phone 핸드폰을 사용하거나 - be rude 무례하게 구는 경우 You will leave the class and get an ‘absent’ mark. 강의실에서 나가야하며, ‘결석’으로 처리됩니다.
