  10. effervescent Bubbly; showing high spirits

  11. ethereal Heavenly; not of this world; delicate; elusive; light

  12. expunge Erase; wipe out; eradicate

  13. implausible I find it implausiblethat I did not get any mail today…..is it a holiday?

  14. incongruity There is an incongruity between what she says and what she really does---we think she is a hypocrite.

  15. insularity If we don’t think globally and instead have insularity in our mind-set, it’s as if we are on an island and don’t care about the world around us.

  16. morose Don’t be so morose….things will get better…you’ll see…cheer up!

  17. placate I tried to placate my baby by giving her the pacifier.
