  3. ABSTEMIOUS Adj. holding back from eating and drinking too much

  4. ABSTEMIOUS • With a buffet dinner that includes an Italian hero and pepperoni pizza, it’s hard to be ABSTEMIOUS. • Grandpa eats like a bird. Mother fears that his ABSTEMIOUS nature may not be good for him.
