Click on the “page-layout” tab in the top menu Under the page-background group, choose page color option Click on “fill-effects” On the window that pops-up, choose the “picture” tab and click on the “select picture” Navigate to the location where you stored the picture and click on “OK” Adding background image

  3. The requirements for creating an internal link • The content should be in the same document • If in another document the document should be merged and made into a single master document • The document should be at least more than 2 pages Internal Links

  4. First create the document and finish it Then when you want to have internal links in the document follow the following steps Go to INSERT in the toolbar then select BOOKMARK option in it Step ONE

  5. Then a window pops up and asking you to enter the bookmarks in it Enter the bookmark or the words you want to link You cant have spaces in the bookmarks eg.. Time management Then after entering the bookmark click add and similarly if you want to delete a bookmark just click on the bookmark in the bookmark window and click delete After you are done close the window Step TWO

  6. Now in the document select the word where you want to have a link and the click on hyperlink option in the insert tool bar Eg….In this I have selected time management to which I want to add a hyperlink from the contents and then click on the hyperlink option. Step THREE

  7. The a hyperlink window pops up and in that you are gong to find four options which may further have sub options in it. Existing file or web pages Place in this document Create new document Email address In that click on the place in this document option Step four

  8. When you click on Place in this document there you will find three options in it Top of the document Headings Bookmarks In that you can select the option to which you want your link It is going to show you all the bookmarks you have first added in the bookmark option. Then from that select one and click and ok and your internal link is created Step five

  9. Link to an email Link to a web page or to an existing file in your computer Creating External Link

  10. Select the text (or the picture) where you want to insert the link Right click and click on hyperlink On the window that pops-up choose link to “E-mail Address” option Enter your email address in the relevant text box Click on OK Link to an Email

Select the text (or the picture) where you want to insert the link Right click and click on hyperlink On the window that pops-up choose link to “Existing file or webpage” option Enter the address of the web page in the address bar ( or navigate to the location of the file that you want to link to (e.g., an audio or a video file) Click on OK Link to a Webpage

  12. Click on the “view” tab on the top menu and choose “web layout” under the document views This is the layout of your document as a web page, check this layout and make sure that everything looks ok. (e.g. the position of the graphics ) Save your word document as a web page

  13. Click on the office button at the top Choose the “save as” option and click on “other formats” On the window that pops up, choose the “single web page” option for the type Click on save
