  2. What are multiple intelligences? • The theory of multiple intelligences was developed by Dr. Howard Gardner in 1983. They are intelligences in different areas. They are Visual-Spatial, Verbal-Linguistic, Logical-Mathematical, Bodily-Kinesthetic, Musical-Rhythmic, Interpersonal, Intrapersonal, and Naturalistic.

  3. The Intelligences What is each intelligence?

  4. Visual-Spatial • People with the Visual-spatial Intelligence are good at visualizing and drawing . This intelligence is key to being an architect.

  5. Verbal-Linguistic • The main subjects that this intelligence deals with are reading and writing. People with this intelligence learn foreign languages quickly. This intelligence is key for lawyers, writers, philosophers, journalists, politicians, poets , and teachers.

  6. Logical-Mathematical • This area deals with logic, abstractions, reasoning, and numbers. Most people with this intelligence are good at mathematics, chess, computer programming, and other logical or numerical activities. This intelligence is key for scientists, mathematicians, logicians, engineers, doctors, economists, and philosophers.

  7. Bodily-Kinesthetic • People with this intelligence should learn better by involving muscular movement. They are good at sports and other physical activities. This intelligence is key for athletes, dancers, musicians, actors, surgeons, doctors, builders, police officers, and soldiers.

  8. Musical-Rhythmic • This intelligence has to do with rhythm, music, and hearing. People with this intelligence display a great sensitivity to sounds, rhythms, tones, and music. This intelligence is key for instrumentalists, singers, conductors, disc-jockeys, orators, and composers.
