  5. FRCNCA Overview The Family Resource Centers Network is recognized as the only statewide network of Family Resource Centers in California. (Strategies 2006) 5

  6. Where did PRRS come from? 2009 Early Start eliminated “at risk” from eligibility 2009 Established Regional Center Prevention Program 2011 Reduced prevention scope of services to Prevention Resource and Referral Services (PRRS)

  7. The FRCNCA opposed Legislative Act 665 - Transfer Reduced Scope Prevention Program to the Family Resource Centers, but affirmed its ability and willingness to implement the new program should the legislation be enacted.

  8. AB 104: Prevention Program for At-Risk Babies SIGNED by Governor 06/30/2011 Information, resources, referrals and follow-up to parents and caregivers of referred at-risk babies (birth to 36 months) in all of the 21 Regional Center catchment areas.

  9. Planning The 3 member FRCNCA Task Force (Chair, Vice Chair and Fiscal Agent) held conference calls 2 to 3 times weekly during the planning.

  10. The 13 member FRCNCA Steering Committee met 3 times face to face and 9 times by conference call in June and July to plan and begin the implementation of PRRS.

  11. What we have done… Developed job descriptions & announcements Hired PRRS Program Director PRRS Data Administrator PRRS Financial Administrator

  12. Created 41 PRRS FRCNCA / FRC contracts that mirror the FRCNCA / DDS contract. Developed an MOU template for use between ESFRCs and RCs - Each Regional Center catchment area will have a MOU with the ESRFCs in their catchment area.

  13. Created a PRRS Members only link on the FRCNCA webpage for PRRS contractors Conducted three PRRS webinars for ESFRC staff Bi-weekly conference calls with DDS
