Baby sleep expert Career Change, Childcare Experience, Entrepeneur, Newborn, Parenting, Sleep Consulting, Sleep Training, Toddler<br><br>Sleep training has been around for a long time, and it has gained popularity in the last ten years as more parents become aware that having a baby does not equal never sleeping again!<br><br>In my career as a nanny, I first encountered sleep training at a date night babysitting job when mom warned me her 10-month-old might wake up while she was gone and instructed me not to go comfort her right away; her baby woke up once and went back to sleep five minutes later without my intervention.<br><br>For a long time, I had the concept of babies sleeping independently in the back of my mind as I had many little ones sleeping on me, or crying when I put them down, as parents had me look after their children during the daytime so they could get some much-needed rest and I thought of what I could do to help.
