  2. Research Objectives This survey was conducted for Oil & Gas Journal to obtain additional demographics from site license end-users. Specific objectives were to determine: • Job functions • Areas of business involvement • Regularity of Readership • Geographic areas of respondents

  3. Research Methodology I • The objectives of the Oil & Gas Journal site license study were accomplished through a survey included in the digital issues downloaded from the site license consumers.

  4. Research Methodology II • A starburst on the front cover of the digital edition inviting readers to participate in the study were included beginning with the October 3, 2005 issue through the current issue.

  5. Research Methodology III • As a means of increasing returns, a drawing for an America Express gift check in the amount of $200 was offered to all respondents who completed a questionnaire.

  6. Summary of Findings Job Function 53% of respondents are involved in engineering/technical/geoscience job functions followed by 22% in company management (CEO, PRES, VP, Partner, Director, Manager)

  8. Summary of Findings Major Areas of Involvement 25% of respondents are involved in production. 12% of respondents are involved in drilling, 12% in financial/business issues and another 12% in other areas ranging from environmental, Exploration & Production to Research and Development.

  10. Summary of Findings Readership Regularity 27% of respondents view 3 out of every 4 issues per month. 16% view 4 out of 4 issues per month.

  12. Summary of Findings Geographic Areas The majority of respondents (57%) are from the U.S. International responses include but are not limited to Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, Nigeria, Russia and Venezuela.
