  1. WHIM WHAM BABA BAM POETRY SLAMMATIC John Grasso Ms.Wicker 1st period Poetry Project

  2. Swamped Cracked and crunched branches Thick cloudless grey skies above Seas of moss below Decaying vegetation Sinking deep within the Earth. Despite streaks of light Piercing through the thick forest Birthing sparks of hope Constantly darkness prevails Silencing all salvation.

  3. Afro-Boy Eyes wander like an elderly blind man Canines white like snow better yet dandruff If Afro boy can’t do it, no one can Has no time for ponies and girly stuff A voice like thunder brings fear to children Rules with an iron fist like Adolf Hitler He’s oh so kind, unlike Joseph Stalin Cares for the planet and never litters He retraced Dante’s steps back into hell Wrestled demons wearing only tube socks Fought a gigantic turtle for its shell Rest upon his throne in a pair of crocs Whenever there’s a full moon he’ll be there With a gut full of wolf and a scarf of hair

  4. Haze Eyelids heavy like cinder blocks, didn’t pay attention and put on mix matching socks. An array of colors all melt into one, retinas scorched from glancing towards the sun. Dark dots now clog my view, as they vanish my sight is good as new. Figures swirl rather unkempt yet swift, my stomach follows their path; I think I’m going to be sick. Room spinning like a merry-go-round, the dots are returning, I hope this room slows down. Voices blurred like Robin Thicke’s lines, goose bumps sprout while chills shiver down my spine. Eyes cross like x’s on pirate maps or an intersection, blood curdles like a militias infection. Instantly it all dissolves like snow on sunny days, with one sip of expresso I’m freed of the haze.

  5. Q-Tips From time to time I fill my holes One after the other Penetrate deep like groundhogs or moles When I feel real dirty I stuff ‘em both Digging further and further Abrasively scooping out the overgrowth Clogged like a toilet in need of a plunger I grab a handful And get to work like a plumber Thanks to Q tips so pure and white My holes are spread But once upon a time they were tight

  6. Bog Cold dense shades of green Murky and desolate ponds Lost and forgotten Surrounded by death Vibrant new life dwells within Only to join death Gnats swarm in millions Blood sucking mosquitoes lurk Fluttering flies sink

  7. Red Future Shiny flying cars Making love to robot broads Express lanes to mars Vitamins are all we eat Homes at 30,000 feet Fur is in fashion Everybody speaks Russian All hail lord Putin Red flags tango in the breeze Because we lost World War III

  8. Crayola Box of thirty six Beautiful colors with names That do not exist Outrageous Orange Screamin Green, Tickle me Pink And Mango Tango Fuzzy Wuzzy Brown Purple Mountain’s Majesty and Purple Pizzazz Ravishing colors Reimagine the rainbow Until they’re worn down
