  4. Hybrid genre • A cross-genre (or hybrid genre) is a genre in fiction that blends themes and elements from two or more different genres. As opposed to the (literary and political) conservatism of most genre fiction, cross-genre writing offers opportunities for opening up debates and stimulating discussion. • i.e romantic comedy.

  5. Platform: • A media platform is a service, site, or method that delivers media to an audience. It's functions are to deliver, but also sometimes to allow for feedback, discussion, or sharing. The 2016 debate is media content. I watched it on Facebook and YouTube, media platforms.

  12. sound • Sound that creates meaning, dosent have to be dialogue or music.

  13. colour • Colours that’s have conventions and connotations.

  14. audience • Anyone the media text is aimed at.

  15. institution • The owners of the media. • i.e. Radio 1 = BBC.

  16. representation • How groups or individuals are represented. • i.e inbetweeners represents typical teens.
