Expansion in Latin America & Conflict with Mexico ActivityPgs. 612-621 • Imagine it is 1905 & you are an artist living in Panama; you are going to create 5 postcards depicting the construction of the canal; on the back of each write a brief description of the obstacles that workers encountered; should be colorful • Write a 2-paragraph letter to a newspaper to support or oppose President Roosevelt’s actions in securing for the U.S. the right to build a canal in Central America; explain your position; paragraph is 5 to 7 sentences • Assume the role of Porfirio Díaz, Emiliano Zapata, Francisco Madero, Victoriano Huerta; explain why and how each one participated in the Mexican Revolution • Write a 2-paragraph newspaper article about this topic: Do you think the Mexican Revolution resulted in a positive outcome for Mexico?
