Role & Responsibility • Mandate – DAOD 3009-0, -1, -2 • Overall Purpose – to establish and maintain confidence that contractors will deliver products and services in accordance with contract requirements • DQA Service Procedures – contained in Quality Management System DAOD = Defence Administrative Orders and Directives

DQA – Headquarters • Located in the LStL Bldg, Gatineau, QC • Life Cycle Quality Manager (LCQM) • Interact with Equipment Program Management team members (RA, TA and LCMM) to ensure quality requirements are stated in contract (all commodities) • Obtain RISK information for the QARs • After contract award • LCQM communicates with Workcentre to plan for QA Surveillance at the source of supply based on the identified risks

Fuels and LubricantsAssignment of Risk • Many factors influence the assignment of risk to a particular contract or commodity • LCQM often relies on the QAR for risk information beyond the product itself • Provider - personnel • Site specific – facility limitations • Physical restrictions – location, weather • Many specialists are working to assess product/process/contractor risks
