  1. COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT AT ANNUAL INSTITUTE OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD In advance of the holiday season, HFMA will hold a community service event to assemble gift boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is run by Samaritan’s Purse, an International relief organization. Last year alone, OCC supplied 8 million needy children in 130 countries with gift boxes. Please take this opportunity to contribute to this great cause by donating any of the following: - Shoe boxes and wrapping paper: Any standard size shoe box and holiday or generic wrapping paper. - Toys: Small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, or any other toy that will fit inside a standard shoe box. - School supplies: Pens, pencils, crayons or markers, stamps and ink pad sets, writing pads or paper, solar calculators, coloring and picture books. - Hygiene items: Toothbrush, toothpaste, mild bar soap, comb, washcloth, etc. Donations can be dropped off when you check in for HFMA’s Annual Institute. We will assemble the boxes on Thursday, October 6th! PLEASE CONTACT KATIE WUNDERLICH AT MHA AT 410-379-6200 WITH QUESTIONS
