Greek Mythology by Sydney Seigel. Chimera. In greek myths the Chimera was believed to be a fire breathing female creature of Lycia in Asia Minor. She had the body of a lioness the head of a goat portruding from her back and at the end of her tail ended in a snakes head.

Chimera • In greek myths the Chimera was believed to be a fire breathing female creature of Lycia in Asia Minor. • She had the body of a lioness the head of a goat portruding from her back and at the end of her tail ended in a snakes head. • The chimera was the offspring of Typhon and Enchidna • She had sibling monsters such as Ceberus,and Lernaean Hydra

  3. Pegasus • He is a winged divine horse sired by Poseidon in his role as Horse-god • He is usaully white in color • He was Foaled by Gorgon Medusa • Hs mother was decapited by Persues • He is the creator of Hipocrene, the fontain on Mount Helicon

Larnean Hydra • The serpent like cthonic said to have many heads • If a head of the Hydra was to be cut off it would grow two more in its place • Its poisunous breath was so bad even her tracks were deadly. • In Myth its Lair was in the lake of Lerna in the Agrolid • In the Lake it was supposedly one of the entrances to the underworld. The Hydra was the Gaurdian.

  5. Cyclops • TheCyclops was believed to be primodial race of giants. • It was believed that the cyclops only had one eye and it was in the middle of the forehead • The name is widely thought to mean circle-eyed.

Cenntaur • They are said to have the head of and torso of a human and legs and lower body of a horse • Since they are “mutants” of nature myth writers believe they have untamed nature in their bodies. • They are said to be born of Ixion and Nephele( the cloud made in the image of Hera)‏ • They were said to inhabit Magnesia.
