1. When most of the lubricants are present in liquid state, some of them also exist in solid state. Just like general liquid lubricants are used in wide ranges in different segments. Solid lubricants which are also referred as dry lubricants. It is a material made of thin film. It exists in powder format that is equally used in various segments. Such lubricants are also used to reduce the possible friction that may exist in machinery. It can also be used to wear of the friction between the contacting surfaces when it is in relative motion.
