  2. Problem • It is very dangerous when we collect our clothes hung on the external laundry poles. • We have to bend our bodies over the window frame and go against the weight of our clothing and the bamboo pole.

  5. Example 1 • This was an incident reported on stomp. • It was very fortunate that the bamboo landed on a tree instead of someone.

  16. Improvements from convention • The ability to change the angles decreases the distance between the fulcrum and the load, and causes the end of the pole to be nearer. Thus, less force is used. • Holes to be drilled to drain water collected in the housing. This helps to remove stagnant water.
